Residents invited to ‘Shabbat’ in Monroe Area residents are invited to join with members of the Monroe Township Jewish Center, Cornell Avenue, on March 31 as they celebrate "Shabbat Across America and Canada," an event which will be shared by more than 750 synagogues across the continent. The evening will begin with a traditional kosher Sabbath dinner at 7:15 p.m. Rabbi Benjamin Levy and Jack Kusher, cantorial soloist, will conduct a special interactive service following the dinner. A contribution of $14.50 per adult (age 13 and up) and $7.50 for ages 8-12 will cover the cost of dinner. There is no charge for youngsters under age 8.
