Country hoedown set at East Brunswick Library

The East Brunswick Public Library, Jean Walling Civic Center, will host a country hoedown featuring the sounds of square dance performer Lew Gelfond and His Fiddle ’n Banjo at 2 p.m. on April 9. The event is scheduled to celebrate National Library Week, April 9-15. Families with children of all ages may pick up their free tickets at the library’s youth services desk. Library plans events relating to PBS series

The South River Library, 55 Appleby Ave., is offering programs relating to the new Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) children’s series, Between the Lions. The shows, which air daily at 10:30 a.m. on Channel 13 and 4 p.m. on Channel 23, are designed to promote books, reading and libraries for youngsters ages 4-7. E.B. Woman’s Club plans April 11 meeting

Spring fashion show set at Monroe Village

A spring fashion show will be held from 1:30-3:30 p.m. on April 11 at Monroe Village, a continuing care retirement community located at 1 David Brainerd Drive, Monroe.
