Sunrise service to be held at Sensi Park

The annual Easter sunrise service sponsored by the Congregations of Greater Allentown will take place at 6 a.m. April 23 by the lake at Pete Sensi Park. In case of rain, the Celebration of the Resurrec-tion, with prayer, scripture and song, will be held at the Allentown AME Church, Church Street.

Women’s organization to sponsor scholarship

The Millstone Township Women’s Organization will award a $1,000 scholarship to a deserving high school senior who resides in Millstone Township. Any student accepted to a fully accredited two- or four-year college may apply. The candidate will be judged on scholastic record, extracurricular activities, and service to the school and community. Applications are available at the guidance offices at Allentown High School, Notre Dame High School, the Peddie School, or by contacting Donna at (609) 259-3504. The deadline for submitting applications is May 1.

Seniors to sponsor spaghetti dinner

The Millstone Township Senior Citizens will sponsor a spaghetti dinner from 3-7 p.m. May 6 at the Millstone Community Center, Route 524, Clarksburg section of Millstone. The cost is $5 for seniors and children ages 5-12; $7 for adults. Walk-ins are welcome. Details: (609) 259-7867.

Standardbred horse organization to meet

Youth camp will be offered at horse farm

Cottage gardening will be topic for Villagers

The Villagers of Allentown will meet at 9:30 a.m. April 26 in the Allentown Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall. The Thompson and Morgan Seed Company will present "Cottage Gardening." Guests are welcome to attend. Child care is available by calling (609) 758-0540.

West Nile virus is topic of May 3 seminar

Dr. Daniel Markowski of the Monmouth County Mosquito Extermination Commission will discuss the West Nile virus and mosquito control techniques in a seminar to be presented from 7:30-9 p.m. May 3 at the Millstone Township Elementary School. There will also be a question and answer session.

Sponsored by Millstone Township Community Education, the meeting is open to the public and admission is free.
