The Lambertville-West Amwell Youth Baseball Association managed to get a few games in early during the week before it was closed down for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday due to the rain.
Here is a look at some of the games that were played early in the week.
The Mets defeated the New Hope Rockies by the score of 16 to 3 May 15.
Garrett Deal, Andrew Dunaj and Sarah Mohn each sparked the Mets by getting multiple hits. Matt Maiorelli and Robbie Williamson pitched a strong game for the Mets, combining for 11 strikeouts.
The Athletics were shut out by the Delaware Township Braves 13 to 0 on this cool Monday night on the Field of Dreams at Dilt’s Park.
Jake Stephens and Kyle Haight each pounded out a hit each to try to spark the Athletics’ bats. The Braves’ top hitters were Kevin Stryker and Mike Smith with two hits each. T.J. Little, Jared Green and Drew Chiromero each added a hit for the Braves.
The Lambertville Dodgers defeated the New Hope Braves May 16.
An official score and details of the game were not available at press time.
The Delaware Township Giants were victorious over the Red Sox May 16.
Kyle Davis pitched well for the Red Sox while Arthur Smith and Conner Meara provide the hits for Red Sox.
No other details of the game were submitted at press time.
The Athletics dropped its third game in a row by losing to the Amwell Valley Docettes 10 to 0 May 18.
Top hitter for the Docettes was Joe Geis who went three for three (two singles and a home run).
Tommy Durbrow, James Colt and Kevin Flammia had two hits each. Kyle Haight and Bryan Williamson each had a hit for the Athletics.
Steve Bartzak and Jake Stephens combined to struck out 11 Docettes in the losing cause for the Athletics.
