, 82, of Bridgewater, formerly of Old Bridge, died May 22 in Somerset Hospital, Somerville. Surviving are his wife, Pearl Needham Baylis; two sons, Edgar Baylis of Albuquerque, N.M., and Ronald Baylis of Piscataway; three daughters, Nancy Kissell of Somerville, Carol Sadlowski of Old Bridge and Bonnie Galambos of Piscataway; a brother, Charles Baylis of Manalapan; a sister, Margie Taylor of Florida; 17 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. Arrangements were under the direction of Rezem Funeral Home, East Brunswick. Interment was in Franklin Memorial Park Cemetery, North Brunswick.

WILLIAM K. BUCKLEY

, 71, of the Parlin section of Sayreville died May 23 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. Surviving are his wife, Clelia Cenda Buckley; a son, William J. Buckley of Sayreville; two daughters, Marina J. Vretakos of Sayreville and Lorena M. Restivo of Port Charlotte, Fla.; a sister, Alice Capcino of Philadelphia; and six grandchildren. Services were arranged by Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, Parlin, with a Mass at Our Lady of Victories Church, Sayreville. Entombment was in St. John’s Cemetery, Queens, N.Y.

ANGELO PANEPINTO

, 73, of the Toms River section of Dover, formerly of Old Bridge, died May 25 in Toms River Community Hospital. Surviving are his wife, Patricia Hill Panepinto; a son, R. Stephen Panepinto of Toms River; a daughter, Bernadette Ilaria of Old Bridge; two brothers, Costanzio Panepinto of North Carolina and Dominic Panepinto of Long Island, N.Y.; three sisters, Caroline Vitale and Louise Panepinto, both of New York, and Rose Ann Di Pitri of Union; and four grandchildren. Services were arranged by Rezem Funeral Home, East Brunswick, with a Mass at St. Ambrose Church, Old Bridge. Interment was in Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arnytown section of North Hanover.

JAMES J. SHEILS

, 78, of the Parlin section of Sayreville died May 23 in St. Michael’s Medical Center, Newark. Surviving are his brother, Neil Sheils of the Columbus section of Mansfield Township, and a sister, Mary Dobrowski of Parlin. Services were arranged by Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, Parlin, with a Mass at St. Bernadette’s Church, Parlin section of Old Bridge. Interment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.

EUGENIA "JEAN" SLUGAI ZYLA

, 87, of Old Bridge died May 28 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. Her husband, Frank, died in 1959. Surviving are a son, Frank Zyla Jr., of Brooklyn, N.Y.; a daughter, Elaine Giordano of Old Bridge; two brothers, Frank Slugai of Roselle and Joseph Slugai of Linden; a sister, Henrietta Matusewicz of Clark; five grandchildren; and four great-granddaughters. Services were arranged by Maliszewski Memorial Home, Sayreville, with a Mass planned for June 2 at Our Lady of Victories Church, Sayreville. Interment will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Linden.

HELEN WILKEN BAUER

, 93, of Sayreville, formerly of East Brunswick, died May 23 in Francis E. Parker Home, New Brunswick. Her husband, Hans Bauer, died in 1979, and a daughter, Joan Hinchliffe, died in 1995. Surviving are a son, William Bauer of Sayreville; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Services were arranged by Maliszewski Memorial Home, Sayreville, with a Mass at St. Bartholomew’s Church, East Brunswick. Interment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.

 

BRYAN M. DZERGOSKI

, 31, of Sayreville died May 24 at home. Surviving are his parents, Dennis M. and Alfreda Miara Dzergoski, with whom he lived; a brother, Chris Dzergoski of Spotswood; and his maternal grandmother, Adele Miara of Sayreville. Services were arranged by Maliszewski Memorial Home, Sayreville, with a Mass at St. Stanislaus Church, Sayreville. Interment was in the church cemetery.

JOSEPH FRANCIS GRAY JR.

, 74, of Old Bridge died May 21 at home. Surviving are his wife, Mary Anne O’Sullivan-Gray; a son, Michael Joseph Gray of Manhasset, N.Y.; five daughters, Maureen Przybylowski of Spotswood, Patricia Kenny of Howell, Elizabeth Matlaga of Freehold, Eileen Gray of Paoli, Pa., and Anne Theresa Hall of Martha’s Vineyard, Mass.; and 15 grandchildren. Services were arranged by Michael Hegarty Funeral Home, Old Bridge, with a Mass at St. Ambrose Church, Old Bridge. Interment was in Chestnut Hill Cemetery, East Brunswick.

VINCENT F. PARRINELLO

, 78, of Spotswood died May 25 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. Surviving are his wife, Alice Schwaeble Parrinello; and two daughters, Stacey of Spotswood and Lori of the Parlin section of Sayreville. Arrangements were under the direction of Crabiel Home for Funerals, Milltown. Interment was in Spotswood Reformed Church Cemetery. ANDREW J. SCHURLEY

, 78, of Spotswood died May 21 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Surviving are his wife, Leona Kasprowicz Schurley; a son, Gary of Old Bridge; a daughter, Andrea Schellenberger of West Covina, Calif.; a brother, Edward of Florida; a sister, Theresa Bezak of Tonawanda, N.Y.; a grandson; a great-grandson; and seven step-grandchildren. Services were arranged by Brunswick Memorial Home, East Brunswick, with a Mass at Corpus Christi Church, South River. Interment was in St. Mary’s Cemetery, East Brunswick.

EVELYN PARKER BERDEL

, 82, of Middletown, died May 21 at Gateway Care Center, Eatontown. Born in Newark, she resided in Spotswood and East Brunswick before relocating to Middletown five months ago. She was a former communicant of St. Thomas the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, Old Bridge. Her husband, Albert, predeceased her in 1982. She is survived by a son, Robert Berdel of Monroe Township; three daughters, Donna Morris of West Keansburg, Sandra Drust and Joanne Whalen of East Brunswick; 11 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. Services were held May 25 in the Brunswick Memorial Home, 454 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick. A funeral Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Thomas the Apostle Church with interment following at Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.

ISADORE BIERBAUM

, 84, of East Brunswick died May 26 in Central New Jersey Jewish Home for the Aged, Somerset section of Franklin. His wife, Marion, died in 1984. Surviving are two daughters, Barbara Schrob of East Brunswick and Rita Brounstein of Springfield; three brothers, Harry, Abe and Norman; and six grandchildren. Services were held at Mount Sinai Memorial Chapels, East Brunswick. Interment was in Mount Lebanon Cemetery, Iselin section of Woodbridge.

STELLA GODLEWSKI EHNOT

, 87, of South River died May 27 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. She was predeceased by her first husband, John Gorzyca, and by her second husband, Walter Gunia. Surviving are three sisters, Martha Dombinski, Mary Toro and Irene De Conie, all of South River; and two stepdaughters, Lorraine Gunia of East Brunswick and Patricia Shorppe of Jensen Beach, Fla. Services were arranged by Maliszewski Funeral Home, South River, with a Mass at St. Mary’s Church, South River. Interment was in St. Mary’s Cemetery, East Brunswick.
