Audubon Society plans fall bird watching

The Monmouth County Audubon Society will host a day of fall bird watching Sept. 16, 9 a.m. at Thompson Park, Middletown.

The trip is open to both members and nonmembers of the county Audubon Society, and admission is free. Participants should dress appropriately, wear comfortable shoes and bring binoculars and field guides.

The trip will be led by Linda Mack, past county Audubon Society president. Birds likely to be seen include warblers, hawks, sparrows, and other species.
