New Jersey Symphony League to hold fall musicale

On Sept. 24 at 3 p.m. the Monmouth chapter of the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra League will hold its fall musicale at a private home in Rumson. The Dulcet Duo — violin and cello — will perform a program of classical selections including pieces by Bach, Breval, Beethoven and Mozart.

Annelie Fahlstedt is a violinist with the Staten Island Chamber Music Players’ String Quartet, and plays with the N.J. Symphony Pops. She is also founder and director of a string ensemble for children in Montclair.

Madeline Casparie is principal cellist of the Staten Island Symphony and the Opera at Florham, a member of the Staten Island Chamber Music Players’ String Quartet and has conducted the Staten Island Boro-wide Orchestra. The musicians will discuss the pieces to be played. A cocktail and social hour will follow the performance.

The Monmouth Chapter of the NJSO League holds concert previews at members’ homes and other locations the Tuesday before the Saturday concert at the Count Basie Theatre. Call for details.
