Orchestra to perform at First Presbyterian

The First Presbyterian Church at Red Bank will host a premiere performance of The Chamber Orchestra, Oct. 8 at 7 p.m. The church is located at 255 Harding Road, Red Bank. Suggested donation is $15 for general admission, and $12 for seniors and students.

The orchestra is comprised of musicians from the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra, the Orchestra of St. Peter-by-the-Sea, the American Symphony, and the New York Philharmonic. Conductor will be Gabriel Gordon. For more information, please call the music office at (732) 747-1329.

Music association opens new coffee hour season

The Monmouth Arts Foundation Music Association opens its new season of monthly musical coffee hours on Oct. 12 at 10 a.m. at the Monmouth County Library Eastern Branch, Route 35, Shrewsbury.

Nancy Shalvatis will give a lecture and demonstration on the French horn.

Shalvatis, a resident of South Orange, formerly of Marlboro, is a member of the Navesink Brass and currently the artist in residence at the United Methodist Church of Red Bank. The ensemble has concretized frequently in the Monmouth County area.

Ririe-Woodbury troupe to perform at university

The Ririe-Woodbury Dance Company will perform at Monmouth University, West Long Branch, at 8 p.m. Oct. 7 in Pollak Theatre. Tickets are $22; $20 for senior citizens and alumni; and $7 for university students. Call (732) 571-3483.
