South Hunterdon 13
The South Hunterdon Regional High School football team lost another tough one – this time to Highland Park, 31-13.
The Eagles continued to fight for a win, but came up short. South showed improvement in this outing, playing better than in either of the previous two games where the team scored nothing.
Quarterback Kevin Losch played well, getting South on the scoreboard by passing to Lucas Lions for the only two South touchdowns. Both the offense and defense did well in the game.

Hackettstown 6
It finally came together for the South team Friday as the Eagles traveled to Hackettstown and played a great game.
For the first time this season, South walked away on the winning side of the decision, 17-6.
Lyons ran for 80 yards to get South’s first touchdown while Steven Nocar kicked for the extra point. Scoring next was Losch who ran for a 30-yard touchdown, while Nocar again converted the point-after attempt.
South was in this one from the beginning and moved the ball well. South’s defense followed suit and stopped Hackettstown, holding it to only six points in the game.
