Mildred Raymond Smeraldi, 86, died Friday, Nov. 24, at home.
Born in Villaba, Sicily, she was a longtime Trenton area resident. She retired from the state Department of Transportation. She was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Roman Catholic Church.
Daughter of the late Joseph and Rose Bonfanti Raymond, wife of the late Benjamin Smeraldi, mother of the late JoAnn Dennis and grandmother of the late Steven Dennis, she is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Angelo and Monica Smeraldi of Hamilton; a daughter and son-in-law, Rose and Joseph Wysocki of Hamilton Square; five grandchildren, Michael Dennis, Joseph IV and David Wysocki, Joni Scozzaro and Ruth Wargo; three great-grandchildren; four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Clara Stefone of Ewing, Mary and Eugene Lanzoni of Ewing, Josephine Geraci of Hamilton and Rose and David Majofsky of Lawrence; a brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Kay DiRaimondo of Trenton; friends, Marilu Woodruff and Barbara Field; and other relatives.
Funeral was held Wednesday from Hamilton Brenna-Cellini Funeral Home, 2365 Whitehorse-Mercerville Road.
Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Our Lady of Sorrows Roman Catholic Church.
Burial will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
