Jack Brian

Jack Brian, 83, died Dec. 12 at home.
   Mr. Brian had been a lawyer, arbitrator and judge before retiring this year.
   He volunteered his time defending blacks in Mississippi and Alabama during the 1960s, and fought for civil rights and racial equality.
   He is survived by his wife, Emmy; his children and stepchildren, Sara and Eytan Tel Tsur, Sam and Robin Brian, William and Valerie Georgopulos and Peter and Marie Georgopulos; grandchildren and step-grandchildren, Na’ama, Daniella, Nicole, Carlos and Jenna; and a sister, Ruth Polonsky.
   The funeral was held Dec. 15 at Mather-Hodge Funeral Home, 40 Vandeventer Ave., Princeton.
   Memorial contributions may be made to the Morris Aronson Children’s Fund of Delaware County Juvenile Court, Second and Orange streets, Media, Pa., 19063.
