This contest went down to the wire. As Seashore Day Camp and Monmouth Beach Bathing Pavilion heated up the pool waters last week, the outcome wasn’t decided until the entire race was over, with Seashore claiming a narrow, 268-251 victory.
The visiting team seized 30 first-place points, to Monmouth’s 22.
The two teams battled back and forth for control of the pool, with Seashore obtaining the longest winning streak — seven races.

He was later joined in the champion’s circle by Jenna Seitz (girls’ 10U 25-yard backstroke and butterfly); Pat Chevalier (boys’ 10U 25-yard butterfly); Taylor Snyder (girls’ 10U 25-yard breaststroke); and Brian Schnurr, Billy George, Chevalier and Rocco Farrell (boys’ 9/10 100-yard medley relay).
