Drivers need to pay attention to speed limits

I am writing in hopes to resolve an issue that seems to be getting worse. I live in Millstone, and my family members and friends live in Roosevelt. We have a big problem with the lack of responsibility of the majority of drivers who cannot yield to the posted speed limit signs in our area. Sad but true. It is a stretch of Route 571 in Roosevelt that goes from 45 mph to 25 mph and back to 45 mph. For a whole mile maybe, these people drive through our town as if the speed limit has never changed. The state police are doing the best they can, but there is only so much they can do. With the school year starting, I want to let the residents and commuters who drive through this area know that this is a big problem that affects all of us, before, God forbid, something traumatic happens to one of our loved ones or one of theirs.
