Ocean County Mall, Toms River, has announced FountainView Care Center, Lakewood, as the new sponsor of its Mall Walker Program. The program is designed as a self-paced walking program for health-conscious individuals in a climate-controlled environment.
Mall walkers are invited to walk daily (Monday through Saturday, 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.). Each mall walker must register in the mall office.
Mileage tracking cards are available to each walker to log his or her miles.
On Sept. 26 from 8-10 a.m., Fountain-View Care Center will provide blood pressure screenings in the food court, provide an event calendar and mall walker newsletter and host an annual holiday breakfast. In addition, FountainView will host monthly community education seminars in the food court.
