The Old Bridge Predators, an U8 travel soccer team, won first place in the North Brunswick Spook-A-Rama Tournament in the Premier Division. The Predators won 7-1 against Princeton Thunder and 6-1 against Montclair Bulldogs. A solid offense consisting of Brandon Allen, Michael Bunis, Robert Casari, Markus Colin, Jake Ptakiwicz and Tyler Vasquez resulted in 13 goals scored by the Predators. Robert Casari, Markus Colin, Jake Ptakiwicz, Kevin McCartney, Nicholas Villani, Zachary Einwechter, Brandon Allen, Aaron Hart and Patrick O’Donnell each scored goals.

The impenetrable defense consisting of Nicholas Villani, Kevin McCartney, Gregory Kaye, Aaron Hart and Zachary Einwechter limited the opposition to few opportunities to score. The goalkeepers, Bryan Vientos and Patrick O’ Donnell, held the opposition by giving up only two goals in the tournament. Rob Vasquez, Glenn Kaye and Paul Allen coach the Predators.

The Sayreville Rockets, a U9 boys tournament soccer team, took first place at the Freehold Frightfest Soccer Tournament, winning their two games, 4-2 and 6-0. The team’s record this season is four wins and one loss. Team members are Matt Beckhusen, Billy Cavanaugh, Dylan Griebell, Craig Huff, Tim Huff, Jarred Huggins, Brian Link, Steven Monticello, Mike Parillo, Nick Petruzzi, Jeremy Shedlock and Lance Weiss.
