Old Bridge Soccer League’s Winter Indoor Rec Soccer season begins on Jan. 8. The eight-week weason will be played on Tuesdays or Wednesdays at Sandburg Middle School. Uniform shirts are supplied Township residency is not required and it is open to all children (boys and girls) born between Aug. 1, 1987 and July 31, 1997. No work bond or fund-raiser. Registration fee is $35 for the first child in a family, and $15 per each additional sibling. Checks only and bring one form of ID. The Old Bridge Basketball Association fifth-grade boys travel team will hold tryouts Nov. 14 at the Old Bridge High School West campus gym at 6 p.m. Call Pat Dineen at (732) 970-0877 for more information.

The Old Bridge Blue Devils U12 girls soccer team took second place at the North Brunswick Spook-A-Rama Tournament. The team had victories over Delaware Valley and North Brunswick by identical 2-0 scores. Goals were scored by Erin Layden, Heather Sabik and Elyse Micciulla. Rebecca Feldman was strong in goal for both games. Excellent defense was played by Brittany Sabik, Desiree Abad, Priscialla Abad, Alexa Ianiello, Allison Leeman and Michelle Defilippo. The offense was led by Chelsa Bulkowski, Rachel Donohue, Robin Holt, Michelle Penny and Ashley Kocsis.

The Girls Soccer League of Old Bridge will be holding tryouts for a new all-star team for girls born between Aug. 1, 1993, and July 31, 1994, on Nov. 17 at Geick Park in Old Bridge from 3 to 6 p.m. The girls should come in cleats and shin guards and bring a bottle of water.
