If you want your gift to be extra special this holiday season, visit J. McLaughlin and discover a wide selection of "timelessly cool" clothing and accessories for everyone on your list. For more than 20 years, J. McLaughlin has upheld a tradition of providing men and women with the finest quality, classically styled American sportswear — with a foppish twist.

This season’s "must haves" for the ladies include whimsical embroidered velvet pants, silk brocade pants that are topped with shimmering lurex sweaters, quilted micro-fiber hunting jackets in vibrant colors, cashmere sweaters in a variety of styles and colors, and conversation-sparking motif bags featuring palm trees, monkeys, bees, martinis, and scotties.

Among the J. McLaughlin highlights for the men on your list are a unique collection of richly colored sweaters in toasty warm cashmere, cotton or merino wool; an array of elegantly pattered silk ties and exclusive sport shirts; and wool slacks and wide-wale corduroys available in a wide range of colors.

We hope you’ll feel free to stop in and enjoy a hot glass of cider and to consult with our friendly and professional staff — they will be happy to help you find the perfect gifts.

This holiday season, visit Les Copains, a French-American restaurant serving both classic and noveau cuisine accompanied by a selective wine list. Les Copains is located on 18 Wither spoon St., in the heart of Princeton. The décor at Les Copains is elegant, and the atmosphere is intimate. The 58-seat restaurant allows staff to prepare each and every dish to perfection, and the wait staff has the time to make certain that you have a wonderful experience.

Dinner is served seven nights a week, lunch Monday through Friday, and Sunday brunch and dinner. Looking to host an elegant affair at a unique location? Les Copains welcomes private and holiday parties, offering a complete menu for groups from 10 to 50.

For a memorable soirée, enjoy a smooth martini or a boutique wine with the sounds of live jazz every Thursday night, and the feverish rhythm of a DJ every Saturday evening.

The proprietor of Les Copains, Michael Lauren, is looking forward to enticing guests with specials prepared by executive chef J. Montes. Chef Montes’ culinary expertise comes from 12 years experience working in such places as Les Halles, Union Pacific and The Russian Tea Room.

The Zagat Survey of 2001-2002 rated Les Copains "the top restaurant in Princeton."

For the holiday season, make your reservations early to insure availability.
Witherspoon Bread Company

The Witherspoon Bread Company was established in the spring of 1998 by Carlo and Raoul Momo, creators of the popular Teresa’s Café and Mediterra Restaurant. Located on Witherspoon Street across from the Princeton Public Library, the gourmet bread store offers a variety of artisan breads and pastries baked fresh daily.

The hand-crafted breads are made by master baker Denis Granarolo, who achieved his status through the Paris Professional Bakers Guild, one of Europe’s oldest and most respected trade unions. Mr. Granarolo uses traditional European-style baking methods that do not require heavy usage of machinery or the addition of preservatives in the dough. He also only uses the best quality ingredients, such as unbleached and unbromated flour and pulgra, a European-style butter that has a higher fat percentage than those available at local supermarkets.

The selection of breads includes ciabatta, French baguette, whole wheat and sourdough. In addition, the Witherspoon Bread Company also offers a variety of croissants, brioches, cookies and desserts.

The store is located at 74 Witherspoon St. and can be
reached at (609) 688-0188. The shop is open seven days a week, Monday through
Saturday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Sunday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. More information on
the Witherspoon Bread Company can be found at www.t2restaurants.com.
