The Hazlet Wave U14 Premier boys’ soccer team ended their fall season with a decisive win over Toms River to take second place in the Premier Division. The game started out quickly with Sean Lennon scoring the first goal unassisted. The Wave scored three unanswered goals in the second half, starting with Scott Latham on a pass from Sean Lennon and Jimmy Pineda scoring twice with assists from Lennon and Angel Martinez. The other midfielders and forwards, Justin Cesario, Greg Godzwon, Brendan Hilliard, Robby Hollywood, Matt Richards and Conrad Symber did an outstanding job of keeping the ball in the Wave’s possession. The defensive team of Josh Barbarich, Tommy Devlin, Tommy Friscia, Tommy Grobelny and Mike Sullivan showed incredible footwork in keeping the ball away from the Fusion forwards. Goalie, Jeff King, playing in his final game for the Wave, stopped the Fusion and gave them few chances on goal. Gene Lennon and Randy Richards coach Hazlet.
