Josephine Livio, 99, died Saturday, Dec. 22, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick.
Born in Sciacca, Italy, she came to Manhattan, N.Y. in 1903 and had lived in Brooklyn, N.Y., before moving to Kendall Park in 1981.
Her husband, James Livio, is deceased.
She is survived by a son, Santo Livio of Kendall Park; two daughters, Paula Gagliardo of New Hyde Park, Long Island, N.Y., and Nina South of Kendall Park; 10 grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
A funeral was held Friday, Dec. 28, at M.J. Murphy Funeral Home in Monmouth Junction, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Augustine of Canterbury R.C. Church in Kendall Park. An entombment followed at Holy Cross Burial Park in South Brunswick.
