DARLENE V. CROSBIE, 40, of Lakehurst died Jan. 18 at home. Born in Long Branch, she lived in Middletown, Keansburg, and Hazlet prior to moving to Lakehurst 12 years ago. She was a school crossing guard and secretary for the Lakehurst Police Department the past 10 years. She was predeceased by her sister, Toni Ann O’Donnell, in 1970. She is survived by her husband of 20 years, Wayne Crosbie of Lakehurst; her daughter, Mandy Crosbie of Lakehurst; two brothers, Michael O’Donnell of Richmond, Va.; and John O’Donnell of Little Egg Harbor; her parents, John and Nancy O’Donnell Sr. of Whiting; and several nieces and nephews. Interment was at Fair View Cemetery, Middletown.

ROBERT W. FEENEY, 41, of Long Branch died Jan. 16 at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. Born in Long Branch, he was a lifelong resident. He was supervisor of grounds for graduate house at Rutgers University, New Brunswick. Prior to that, he was a groundskeeper at Monmouth University, West Long Branch. He was a parishioner of Our Lady Star of the Sea Roman Catholic Church, Long Branch. He came from a family of dedicated firefighters and was 1st lieutenant and a 25-year member of the Phil Daly Hose Company of the Long Branch Fire Department. Named Fireman of the Year, he received a Ready Commendation ribbon from the department. He also served as captain for three terms, was a head driver and adviser for the Explorer Program. He is survived by his wife, three sons and a daughter, Jayne Van Doren Feeney; and Anthony, Michael, James and Meghan Feeney, all at home; his parents, Henry and Julia Dennison Feeney of Long Branch; five sisters, Lynn Weiland of Rockville, Md.; Ann Feeney of Denver, Colo.; Karen Feeney of Eatontown; Diane Carter of Malibu, Calif.; and Janet Feeney of Secaucus; and his father-in-law, Judson Van Doren of South Bound Brook. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at Our Lady Star of the Sea Roman Catholic Church, Long Branch. Interment was at Bound Brook Cemetery. LUCY ROSE GUICE, 69, of Long Branch died Jan. 19 at Paul Kimball Medical Center, Lakewood. Born in Long Branch, she was a lifelong resident. She was a member of Christ Church, Shrewsbury. She was predeceased by her husband, Benjamin E. Guice in 1992. She is survived by her son, Patrick Guice of Toms River; her daughter and son-in-law, Sue and Herman Brabham of Long Branch; her sister, Alice Petrico of Wanamassa; and a grandson. Interment was at White Ridge Cemetery, Eatontown.

CLAIRE SIPLER TAYLOR, 81, of Eatontown died Jan. 19 at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. Born in Smithville, N.Y., she lived in Long Branch prior to moving to Eatontown 25 years ago. She was a parishioner of The Lutheran Church of Reformation, West Long Branch. She was predeceased by a son, Robert Gerwer in 1960. She is survived by two sons, George E. Wolff of Long Branch, and William J. Gerwer of Ocean; her daughter, Joanie Broddack of Piscataway; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
