KATHERINE WALKER TATOR, 93, of the Clarksburg section of Millstone died Jan. 12 at The Manor, Freehold Township. Mrs. Tator was bon in New York City and had lived in Clarksburg since 1941. She and her husband, Everett Acker Tator, who died in 1977, had owned and operated Tator’s Motel, Millstone. She is survived by a nephew, two nieces, a grandniece and three grandnephews. Interment was held at Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold Township.

VIOLET IGNAS, 88, of Hudson Manor, Freehold, died Jan. 28 after a brief stay at Victoria House Rehabilitation Center, Matawan. Born in Perth Amboy, she moved with her parents and siblings to a farm in Millstone Township in 1927. Ms. Ignas was a driver for the U.S. Army Signal Corps at Camp Evans during World War II. In 1946 she went to work for New Jersey Bell Telephone Co., Freehold, retiring in 1977. She was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Roman Catholic Church, Freehold. Ms. Ignas was predeceased by two brothers, George and Joseph Ignas, and a sister, Stella Sweeney. She is survived by a sister, Julie Struble of Daytona Beach, Fla.; and 10 nieces and nephews. The funeral liturgy will be offered on Jan. 31 at 10 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Church, followed by interment at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Perrineville section of Millstone.
