The Jackson Wildcats U9 soccer team took first place in the Toms River Recreation Station Indoor Soccer Tournament Jan. 26. The team played four games, fighting hard each step of the way. They battled their way through each game, winning two, tying one and losing one. The Wildcats were led into the playoffs by their coach, Chris Serreino, and Assistant Coach Jerry Meadows, in second place, only to dominate with a win of 2-0, allowing them to take home the first-place medal.

Team members are Connor Berry, Josh Delorenzo, M. Kelly Hansen, Josh Meadows, Alec Mancheca, Nick Nalywayko, Jake Orehostky, Brandon Russo, Andy Serreino, Kyle Shankle and Ryan Totin.

The Jackson Knights Baseball Club U.S.A.B.L. 13-year-old baseball team is holding tryouts. Players’ birth dates must fall between September 1988 and August 1989. Those interested should call Joe at (732) 928-1254 for information as soon as possible.
