LITTLE SILVER — Four teen-agers, two of them juveniles, were arrested and charged with underage possession of alcoholic beverages after a vehicle stop on Laurie Lane at 3:52 a.m. Feb. 16.

LITTLE SILVER — Four teen-agers, two of them juveniles, were arrested and charged with underage possession of alcoholic beverages after a vehicle stop on Laurie Lane at 3:52 a.m. Feb. 16.

One of the teens was also charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance under 50 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The charges were filed after borough police called on the Eatontown Police Department K-9 unit, consisting of patrolman Thomas Ferrugia and his dog Xena. Borough police said they wanted Xena to sniff the car for drugs.

Charged in the incident were Matthew H. Ward, 18, of Little Silver; Kane Delaney, also 18, of Red Bank; and two juveniles, both 17, from Little Silver and Shrewsbury.

Police said Ward was charged with underage possession of alcoholic beverages, possession of a controlled dangerous substance under 50 grams, and possession of CDS paraphernalia. They said Delaney and the two juveniles were charged with underage possession of alcoholic beverages.

All were released pending court appearances.
