MONROE Carmen Mercatante of the Real Life Outreach program of Bloomfield will be the guest speaker Tuesday when the Monroe Municipal Alliance Committee holds its spring breakfast and senior awareness program at the Monroe Community Center on Monmouth Road.
The breakfast and program, scheduled for 9:45 to 11:30 a.m., is free of charge.
Robin Carroll, alliance director, said Mr. Mercatante will speak on seniors in grandparenting roles and dealing with alcohol- and drug-related problems.
Ms. Carroll said Mr. Mercatante also will start a three-night series of talks on senior issues Tuesday night at the Community Center. His other talks will be April 15 and 22. All will start at 7 p.m.
