Nominations sought
for ‘Preservation Award’

The Monmouth County Historical Commission is seeking nominations for its "Preservation Award." Organizations, municipalities and individuals who have demonstrated outstanding accomplishments and built an environment important to the preservation of history are eligible to receive the award. Any individual, organization or municipality that has received a preservation grant from the commission is not eligible for the award.

Nominations may be submitted by prospective nominees, a member of the public, a governmental body or by commission members.

"There are many individuals and groups in Monmouth County deserving of this award," said Monmouth County Freeholder Theodore Narozanick. "We hope they, or someone on their behalf, will come forward and nominate them for this worthy recognition."

Nominating applications are available from the Monmouth County Historical Commission, Hall of Records, Room 201, Freehold, 07728; or call (732) 431-7413. The deadline for submission is April 17. For further information, call Randall Gabrielan, (732) 431-7143.
