   NORTH HANOVER — Robert E. Carroll, 72, died April 3 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton.
   Born in Trenton, he was a longtime Wrightstown resident.
   He was an aide for C&R Bus Co. and retired as a truck driver from Teamsters Local 701 of New Brunswick.
   Son of the late Jack and Eleanor Bush Carroll Warner, he is survived by his wife, Doris Cramer Carroll; a daughter and son-in-law, Betty and Brian Newbon of Hamilton; two sons and daughters-in-law, Ronald and Mitzi Carroll of Bordentown and Jeff and Lisa Carroll of Wrightstown; four stepchildren, Harry Hindley and wife, Jill, of St. Cloud, Fla., Ronald Hindley and wife, Debbie, of Browns Mills, John Hindley and wife, Marcia, of Bordentown and Kathleen and husband, Kevin Britt, of Roebling; two sisters, Shirley Garcia of Hamilton and Doris Heineman of Dundee, Fla.; three brothers, Fritz Carroll of Hamilton, Roy Warner of Pennsylvania and George Warner of Hamilton; 21 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
   The funeral was held at Kingston & Kemp Funeral Home, Hamilton, with the Rev. George Gibbs officiating.
   Burial was in North Crosswicks Cemetery.
Thelma Ford

Gaskill

   SPRINGFIELD — Thelma Ford Gaskill, 84, died April 7 at Alterra Sterling House, Florence.
   Born in Florence, she lived many years in Jacksonville.
   She had been a bookkeeper for the Florence Pipe Foundry.
   Wife of the late Earl Gaskill and sister of the late Charles Ford, she is survived by a sister, Betty Jones of Florence; two brothers, Chester Ford of Lightfoot, Va., and Melvin Ford of Martinsburg, Va.; and nieces and nephews.
   The funeral will be 11 a.m. on April 12 at Perinchief Chapels, 438 High St., Mount Holly. Burial will be in Mount Holly Cemetery.
   Calling hours will be 10 to 11 a.m. on April 12 at the funeral home.

Pieslak

   BORDENTOWN TOWNSHIP — Helen Elaine Pieslak, 93, died April 8 at her daughter’s home in Robbinsville.
   Born in Trenton, she was a longtime resident before moving to Bordentown in 1952.
   She was a member of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Bordentown, Golden Years Luncheon Club of Bordentown and Bordentown Senior Citizens Club.
   Wife of the late Leonard J. Pieslak, she is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Eunice E. and Walter R. Fues Jr. of Robbinsville and Gail A. and Leo Gross Jr. of Harrington, Del.; five grandchildren, Walter III, Wesley and Wayne Fues of Robbinsville, Thomas A. and wife, Diane Sholes, of Hamilton and Sandra L. Edwardson of Bordentown; four great-grandchildren, Amber, Jeremiah, Joshua and Joseph; a cousin, Teresa Danzglock of Trenton; and nieces, nephews and other relatives.
   The funeral will be 9 a.m. on April 12 at Hartmann Funeral Home, 40 Crosswicks St., Bordentown.
   Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, 45 Crosswicks St., Bordentown.
   Burial will be in St. Hedwig’s Cemetery, Hamilton.
   Calling hours will be 6 to 8 p.m. on April 11 at the funeral home.

Charles Knapp Jr.

   MANSFIELD — Charles A. Knapp Jr., 79, died April 3 at home.
   Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he lived in Queens, N.Y., before moving to the Homestead at Mansfield section of Columbus in 1989.
   He was an Army veteran of World War II.
   Mr. Knapp retired after 30 years as a mechanic with the New York City Transit Authority.
   He was a member of Holy Assumption Catholic Church in Roebling, Elks Lodge 2085 of Bordentown and Knights of Columbus Council 7428.
   He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Mary M. McNicholas Knapp; a daughter and son-in-law, Marilyn and David Lamon of Marlton; a sister and brother-in-law, Muriel and John Beska of Gouldsboro, Pa.; two grandchildren, Heather and Travis D’Angelo; a brother-in-law, the Rev. Edward McNicholas of Douglaston, N.Y.; and nieces, nephews and cousins.
   Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Holy Assumption Catholic Church, with the Rev. Giles Barreda officiating.
   Burial was in Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown.

Robert P. McClure

   CHESTERFIELD — Robert P. McClure, 73, died April 6 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton.
   Born in Trenton, he lived in the Crosswicks area for 47 years.
   He retired in 1991 after 40 years as an installer for New Jersey Bell in the supply department.
   He was a Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War.
   He was a past chief of civil defense and police officer of Chesterfield Township; a member of Crosswicks Fire Co. for 26 years and secretary for 20 years; was secretary of the Fireman’s Relief Association for 12 years; served on the Chesterfield Township School Board for seven years; and was a member of Crosswicks United Methodist Church.
   He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Marjorie Colgan McClure; two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert G. and Linda McClure of Jackson and Bruce F. and Barbara McClure of Birmingham, Mich.; a daughter, Colleen M. Davidson and Mark Garvel of Cream Ridge; and eight grandchildren, Erin, Shannon, Stephen and Ryan McClure, Matthew and Michael Davidson and Joshua and Morgan Tomkiewicz.
   The funeral was held at Peppler Funeral Home, Bordentown, with the Rev. Edward Conway officiating.
   Burial was in Groveville Cemetery.

David K. Rein

   BORDENTOWN TOWNSHIP — David K. Rein, 78, died April 6 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton.
   Born in Trenton, he had lived in the Bordentown Township area most of his life.
   He worked for the New Jersey Turnpike Authority for over 20 years in the maintenance department and retired in 1987.
   He was a Navy veteran of WWII, a member of the Bordentown Elks B.P.O.E. #2085, an avid hunter and member of the Cranbury Hunting Club, a member of the Bordentown Township, Bordentown City and St. Mary’s Senior Citizens and St. Mary’s Church.
   He was active in the local Bordentown area sports organization by coaching baseball and softball teams for many years.
   He is survived by his wife, Kathleen C. Sweeney-Rein; a son and daughter-in-law, David and Kelly rein of Burlington Township; a daughter and son-in-law, Bunny and Thomas White of Millstone Township; 4 grandchildren, Jude A. McGuire, Andree Hille and her husband, Scott and David and Morgan Rein; a cousin, Frank Rein and other family members.
   Mass of Christian Burial will be April 11 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, 45 Crosswicks St., Bordentown. The Rev. Michael Burns, parish clergy, will officiate.
   Interment will follow in Brig. gen. William C. Doyle Veterans memorial Cemetery, North Hanover Township.

John Farrell Sr.

   BORDENTOWN TOWNSHIP — John P. Farrell Sr., 81, died April 4 at Virtua-Memorial Hospital of Burlington County, Mount Holly.
   Born in Harrisburg, Pa., he lived in Bordentown since 1955.
   Mr. Farrell retired in 1964 as a chief warrant officer after 25 years with the Army.
   He then worked as a desk clerk at McGuire Air Force Base, retiring in 1982 after 16 years.
   He was a member of the Retired Officers Association, Knights of Columbus Council 570 of Bordentown, AARP and St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Bordentown.
   Son of the late James M. and Margaret C. McGarvey Farrell, brother of the late James and Richard Farrell and husband of the late Elizabeth Corley Farrell, he is survived by a son, John P. Jr. of Fieldsboro; two daughters and sons-in-law, Eileen and Michael Krowicki of Florence and Bernardine and Robert Walker of Allen, Texas; three brothers, Leon and wife Millie Farrell of Enola, Pa., and Edward and William of California; four sisters, Cecelia Farrell of Steelton, Pa., Mary Roberts of Pembroke, Fla., Betty Farrell of Harrisburg and Rose Poticher of Enola; six grandchildren, Michele, Thomas, Christina, Kevin, Allison and Jessica; and nieces and nephews.
   Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, with the Rev. Michael Burns, pastor, officiating.
   Burial with military honors was in Princeton Memorial Park, Washington Township.

Dorothy Moses

Branson

   BORDENTOWN CITY — Dorothy Moses Branson, 89, of Bordentown City died March 1 at the Masonic Home of New Jersey in Burlington.
   Born in Trenton, she had resided most of her life in the Bordentown area.
   She attended Trenton Public Schools and was a graduate of Heimbach’s Business School.
   She had retired as a secretary for the Bordentown School District.
   An active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Bordentown, she also was a member of the Bordentown Chapter #257, Order of the Eastern Star.
   A Mercer Medical center volunteer, she was a past president of the Bordentown Visiting Nurse Association. She also served as a board member and Campfire Girls Leader for over 35 years.
   The wife of the late William C. Branson and the sister of the late Ruth Moses and Eleanor Miller of Bordentown City, a grandson, Paul D. Sootkoos of Lambertville and many other friends and relatives.
   A memorial service was held from the First Presbyterian Church of Bordentown with the Rev. Ray VandeGiessen officiating.
   Burial was at the Brainerd Cemetery at the convenience of the family at a later date.
   Arrangements were under the direction of the Huber-Moore Funeral Home of Bordentown.

Robert Campanile

   HAMILTON — Robert T. Campanile, 68, died April 4 at home.
   Born in Orange, he lived in Whippany most of his life before recently moving to Yardville.
   Mr. Campanile had owned Experienced Citizen Newspaper, Whippany, and was a purchasing agent for several banks in New York City and New Jersey before his retirement.
   He was an Army veteran of the Korean War.
   Son of the late James A. and Anna Messina Campanile, he is survived by his fiancee, Sandy Green of Yardville, with whom he lived, and her daughter, Debra Green of Bordentown; two daughters and sons-in-law, Eileen and Paul Redden of Bayville and Susan and Terrance Schmidt of Sergeantsville; a son and daughter-in-law, Robert T. II and Tara Campanile of Forked River; seven grandchildren, Lisa, Matthew, Megan, Erica, Ryan, Michael and Austin; a great-grandson, Darius; two brothers and sisters-in-law, James A. and Linda Campanile of Plano, Texas, and John A. and Rosemary Campanile of Muncy, Pa.; a sister, Beverly A. Jordan of Hazlet; and nieces, nephews and cousins.
   The funeral was held at Knott’s Colonial Funeral Home, 2946 S. Broad St., with the Rev. Jesse Houck III, pastor of St. Mark Lutheran Church, officiating.
   Burial was in Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown.
Bernard Keiner

   TRENTON — Bernard Keiner, 72, died April 4 at Capital Health System at Fuld hospital.
   Born in Trenton, he was a lifelong area resident.
   Mr. Keiner worked more than 40 years with General Motors Corp. in Ewing, where he was a supervisor.
   He was a Navy veteran and a member of Workers of Truth Congregation and South Trenton Liberty Association.
   He volunteered with Capital Health System at Fuld.
   Husband of the late Elsie Keiner, he is survived by a sister, Lillian Gutstein of Bordentown; nieces, Gail Rounds, Wendy Margulies and Dr. Jill Sumfest; and nephews, Dr. Joel Sumfest and Michael Keiner.
   The funeral was held at Riverside Memorial Chapels, Ewing. Burial was in Workers of Truth Cemetery, Hamilton.

Walter L. Strehlow

   HAMILTON — Walter L. Strehlow, 65, died April 5 at Capital Health System at Mercer Hospital.
   Born in Trenton, he was a lifelong area resident.
   Mr. Strehlow retired in 1994 after many years as a seat adjuster for General Motors, with the former Fisher Body Division in Ewing.
   He served in the Army National Guard.
   He was a member of the Disabled American veterans, Joseph McNerny Chapter 41 and a graduate of Ewing High School.
   Son of the late Max and Irene Matthews Strehlow, he is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Elayne Morrissy and Ernie Komjati of Bordentown and Patricia and Donald Neuls of Hamilton, with whom she resided; a brother, Robert of Sumner Field, Fla.; a sister, Maxine Cooper of Ewing; eight grandchildren, Brittany, Monique, Patrick, Erin, Sean, Patrick, James and Donald; and several nieces and nephews.
   The funeral was held at Hartmann Funeral Home, with the Rev. Douglas Mindek of Edinberg Road Chapel officiating.
   Burial will be in St. Ignatius Cemetery, Yardley, Pa.
Helen Leshin

Goldstein

   HIGHTSTOWN — Helen Leshin Goldstein, 76, died March 31 at Meadow Lakes.
   Born in New York, she lived in Hightstown since 1947.
   She was a secretary for Metro Life Insurance Co. in New York for four years and was a member and president of the Sisterhood at Beth El Synagogue, and a member of East Windsor Hadassah, Wives of the Retired Officers Association, East Windsor Autumn Club and Scarborough Senior Center of East Windsor.
   She was a Red Cross volunteer at Watson Air Force Hospital at Fort Dix.
   She is survived by her husband, David Goldstein; a son and daughter-in-law, Larry M. and Karen Goldstein of Howell; two daughters and sons-in-law, Joyce and Joseph Anghelone of Columbus and Marion T. and Peter Mnych of East Windsor; a brother and sister-in-law, William and Rosalyn Leshin of Boca Raton, Fla.; and four grandchildren, Ryan and Sarah Anghelone, Jay Goldstein and Rebecca Mnych.
   The funeral was held at A.S. Cole Funeral Home, Cranbury, with Rabbi Jay Kornsgold of Beth El Synagogue officiating.
   Burial was in Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown.
   Shiva will be observed with a minion at 8 p.m. Thursday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday at 603 Summit St., Hightstown.
   Arrangements were by Glackin/Saul Funeral Home.
Blanche P. Miller

   CONYERS, Ga. — Blanche P. Miller, 82, died March 6.
   Born in Mercer County, she was a longtime area resident.
   She retired as a secretary with the State of New Jersey and was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church.
   She is survived by her husband, James Miller; two sons and daughters-in-law, James H. Jr. and Charlene Miller of Conyers and Robert and Tresa Miller of Covington; two daughters and a son-in-law, Susan and Matthew Civensky of Bordentown and Elizabeth Miller of Atlanta; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
   Entombment was in Lawnwood Memorial Park, Covington.
   Arrangements were by Horis A. Ward Inc., Rockdale Chapel.
Theresia Teichmann

   HAMILTON — Theresia Hoenisch Teichmann, 80, of Yardville, died March 30 at home.
   Born in Filipovo, Yugoslavia, she lived in Austria before moving to the United States in 1955.
   She retired from the Old Hiedelberg Restaurant.
   She was a parishioner of St. Raphael Roman Catholic Church.
   She was a member of the Elderberry Club, Golden Nuggets, German American Society, Yardville and the Donauschwabian Club, Philadelphia.
   Daughter of the late Joseph and Katherina Brenner and wife of the late Adam Hoenisch and Gabriel Teichmann, she is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Joseph Thiel of Yardville; two sons and daughters-in-law, Valentin and Elizabeth Hoenisch and Joseph and Kathy Hoenisch, all of Yardville; stepchildren, Hilda and Tom Simco of Colorado, Michael and Barbara Teichmann of Bayville and Erwin and Linda Teichmann of Bordentown; grandchildren, Edward and Robin Thiel, Brenda and Vincent Tripiccio, and Eric, Joseph Jr. and Jaclyn Hoenisch; a great-granddaughter, Caitlin Thiel; a brother and sister-in-law, Wendel and Appolonia Brenner of the Bronx, N.Y.; two sisters, Marian Pellitere of Long Island, N.Y., and Katerina Bornhorst of Bramen, Germany; a brother-in-law, John Hoenisch of Philadelphia; two sisters-in-law, Sophie David of Columbus and Theresa Hoenisch of Philadelphia; and several nieces and nephews.

   Funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Raphael Roman Catholic Church. Burial was in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.

Lauricella Sr.

   PENNINGTON — Raymond F. Lauricella Sr. died April 5 at Doylestown (Pa.) Hospital.
   Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he was a longtime Pennington area resident.
   After graduating in 1948 from Central High School in Hopewell Township, he tried out for the New York Yankees baseball team.
   Before his retirement in 1994, he was a maintenance supervisor for Princeton Theological Seminary.
   Son of the late Onofrio and Beatrice P. Lauricella and brother of the late Andrew and John Lauricella, he is survived by his wife of 50 years, Rose M. Burger Lauricella; a daughter, Joan Lauricella D’Ottavio and husband James D’Ottavio of Hopewell; two sons, Raymond F. Lauricella Jr. and wife Karen Evanko Lauricella and Glenn R. Lauricella of Pennington; a sister, Frances Gilligo of Chesterfield; two brothers, Vincent R. Lauricella and wife, Eleanor, of Pennington and Carl Lauricella and wife, Marylou, of Palm Coast, Fla.; six grandchildren, Deana, Dorian, Diana and Denyse D’Ottavio, Raymond F. Lauricella III and wife, Tracy and Justin W. Lauricella; and nieces and nephews.
   Funeral Liturgy was celebrated at St. James Chapel, Pennington.
   Burial was in Harbourton Cemetery.

   LAWRENCE — Eleanor May Vaneekhoven Mifflin, 82, of Lawrenceville died April 4 at St. Francis Medical Center, Trenton.
   Born in Trenton, she was a lifelong area resident.
   She was a cafeteria worker for Hamilton public schools.
   She was a member of Groveville Senior Citizens Club and Groveville United Methodist Church.
   Daughter of the late Frank and Frances Lovett Vaneekhoven, wife of the late Howard H. Mifflin Sr. and sister of the late Frank and Richard "Dick” Vaneekhoven and Margaret Griener, she is survived by five sons and four daughters-in-law, Roy and Diane Snow of Hightstown, Howard H. Jr. and Sheila Mifflin of Fulton, N.Y., Frank Mifflin of East Windsor, Russell and Lillian Mifflin of Lawrenceville, with whom she lived, and Richard and Lisa Mifflin of Groveville; three brothers, William Vaneekhoven of Citrus Heights, Calif., James Vaneekhoven of Bordentown Township and Robert Vaneekhoven of Groveville; four sisters, Doris Tilley of Columbus, Jean O’Conner of Yardville, Erma Young of Groveville and Audrey Sacks of Benton, Pa.; 12 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
   The funeral was held at Buklad Yardville Memorial Chapel, with the Rev. Melva Matlack, pastor of Wrightstown Methodist Church, officiating.
   Burial was in Groveville Cemetery.
Samuel Young Sr.

   HAMILTON — Samuel A. Young Sr., 80, died April 4 at home.
   Born in Lawrence, he lived in Groveville for 52 years.
   He was an Army Air Forces veteran of World War II and received the American Service, European-African-Middle Eastern Service, World War II Victory and Good Conduct medals.
   Mr. Young retired after 26 years with Robertson Tile Co. of Morrisville, Pa., and was a groundskeeper for Hopewell Valley Golf Course in Hopewell for 14 years.
   He was a past president and honorary member of Luzerne Sportsman Club and enjoyed fishing.
   Son of the late Bertha and Samuel Young and father of the late William Young, he is survived by his wife of 54 years, Erma Young; a son, Samuel A. Young Jr. and his companion, Debbie Virgil; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Frank and Johanna of Lawrenceville and Herman and Sue of Whiting; four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Lillian and Charles Mertz of Hamilton, Betty Jean and Michael Fox of Trenton, Bertha Neelde of Pennsylvania and Rose Wilcox of Trenton; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, James and Katherine Vaneekhoven of Bordentown, Robert and Jacquelyn Vaneekhoven of Groveville, William and Patricia Vaneekhoven of Sacramento, Calif., Doris Tilley of Columbus, Jean O’Connor of Yardville, Audrey Sacks of Pennsylvania and Robert Greiner of Morrisville; four grandsons, Samuel A. James T. Nunn

   TABERNACLE — James T. Nunn, 81, died April 4 at Virtua-West Jersey Hospital, Marlton.
   Born in Merchantville, he lived in Tabernacle for 20 years.
   Mr. Nunn was an electrician with International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 351, Hammonton.
   He was an Army veteran of World War II.
   Brother of the late William Nunn, he is survived by his wife, Millie Ward; two sons, James T. Nunn III of Berlin and Barry Ward of Jobstown; a daughter, Jo Anne Gibson of Mount Holly; a sister, Dorothy Constantine of Southampton; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two nieces and two nephews.
   The funeral was held at Mathis Funeral Home, Medford.
   Burial was in Junior Mechanics Cemetery, Tabernacle.

Florence Mortenson

   PLEASANTVILLE — Florence M. Mortenson, 70, died March 29 at Virtua-Memorial Hospital of Burlington County, Mount Holly.
   Born in Jersey City, she was a longtime Bordentown resident before moving to Pleasantville.
   She retired as head payroll clerk for the New Jersey Network and was a member of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Bordentown.
   Daughter of the late Harry S. and Mildred Rocco Mortenson, she is survived by aunts, cousins and dear friends.
   A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Bordentown. Burial was in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bordentown.
