FREEHOLD George Pekarchik, 72, died April 4 at CentraState Medical Center.
Born in Freehold, he was a lifelong area resident.
Mr. Pekarchik was a self-employed farmer, mason and builder before his retirement.
He was an Army veteran of the Korean War.
He is survived by two sons, Michael George of Jackson and Roger of Millstone; four daughters, Susan Pekarchik of Amelia, Va., Kathleen Anderson of Port St. Lucie, Fla., Diana Pekarchik Lang of East Windsor and Karin Pekarchik of New York City; a brother, John of Farmingdale; two sisters, Lillian Stubbs of Lakewood and Irene Hembroff of Concord, Calif.; and eight grandchildren.
Funeral was Monday at Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold.
Burial was in Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown.
