Elaine Treatman

   Elaine Treatman, 76, of Monroe, died Wednesday, April 10, at St. Peter’s University Hospital in New Brunswick.
   She was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and lived all her life there until moving to Monroe six years ago. Ms. Treatman was a school aide for the New York City Board of Education in Brooklyn for 26 years before retiring in 1990. She was a member of the Brooklyn Educators Lodge of B’nai Brith, the Ponds Chapter of B’nai Brith and the Ponds Chapter of the Organization for Rehabilitation through Training.
   She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Paul; her son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Linda Treatman of Cazenovia, N.Y.; her daughter and son-in-law, Abbe and Jeffrey Baicher of Manalapan; her brother, Benjamin Cohen of Fort Worth, Texas; her sister, Lydia Friedenberg of Baltimore and four grandchildren, Melissa, Jennifer, Derek and Jacqelyn.
   Services were held Friday, April 12 at Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels, 44 Wilson Ave., Manalapan. Interment will follow at Beth Israel Cemetery in Woodbridge. Arrangements are being handled by Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels, Manalapan. Donations may be made to the National Alzheimer’s Association.
