Lela I. McKnight

   HIGHTSTOWN — Lela I. McKnight, 98, died March 8 at Cranbury Center Genesis ElderCare, Monroe.
   Born in Allentown, she was a lifelong Hightstown area resident.
   She was a cafeteria manager for the Walter C. Black and Grace N. Rogers schools in Hightstown more than 20 years, retiring in 1969.
   Mrs. McKnight was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Hightstown for more than 50 years and a Sunday school teacher. She was a former member of the Hightstown-East Windsor Autumn Club.
   Wife of the late W. Perrine McKnight, she is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Earl I. and Janet H. McKnight of Whiting; three grandsons and their wives, Keith and Lisa McKnight of Titusville, Brian and Tracey McKnight of Plumsted and Scott and Debbie McKnight of Hamilton; and eight great-grandchildren.
   Funeral was April 4 at Glackin/Saul Funeral Home, Hightstown, with the Rev. Suzanne Schaffer-Coates of First Presbyterian Church of Hightstown officiating.
   Burial was in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
