Bryn Mawr-Wellesley Book Sale begins May 15

   The 71st annual Bryn Mawr-Wellesley Book Sale will take place in the Princeton Day School’s Lisa McGraw Skating Rink from Wednesday, May 15, through Sunday, May 19.
   More than 80,000 low-priced books, sorted by category, will be on sale. Special bargains will be available on "Half-Price Day," Saturday, May 18, and on the sale’s final day, Sunday, May 19, when purchasers who bring a carton can fill it for $5.
   The traditional Collector’s Corner, in a room off the rink, will include first editions, rare books, books those signed by famous authors and books with lavish illustrations.
   A preview sale will take place from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Wednesday, May 15. Entry is $15, with the sale of numbered tickets beginning at 9 a.m. After the preview, entry to the book sale is free.
   The book sale’s hours are Wednesday, May 15, 2-9 p.m.; Thursday and Friday, May 16 and 17, 10 a.m.-9 p.m.; Saturday, May 18, 10 a.m.-7 p.m., and Sunday, May 19, 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Payment is by cash or by checks with ID only. Credit cards will not be accepted.
   Alumnae from Bryn Mawr and Wellesley work year-round receiving, sorting and boxing books in a warehouse behind 37 Vandeventer Ave. in Princeton. Anyone can drop books off at this facility on Wednesday or Saturday mornings from 10 a.m. to noon and receive credit for a tax-deductible donation.
   For almost three-quarters of a century, the book sale has provided scholarship assistance to young women from central New Jersey. Previously, this aid went only to those attending Bryn Mawr. This year, for the first time, aid will also be available for young women at Wellesley.
   Princeton Day School is located on Elm Road, off Route 206 in Princeton. Donations may be brought to the warehouse behind 32 Vandeventer Ave., Princeton, Wednesday and Saturdays, 10 a.m. to noon.
