   HAMILTON — Rose Tarnecki, 82, died Friday, May 10, at St. Francis Medical Center, Trenton.
   Born in Trenton, she was a lifelong area resident.
   She worked 10 years with General Motors Corp., Ewing, and was a member of Holy Angels Roman Catholic Church, Hamilton.
   Daughter of the late Vincent and Serafina DiEugenio and sister of the late Francis, Joseph, Angeline and Florence DiEugenio, she is survived by her husband, Leon Edmund Tarnecki; four sons and three daughters-in-law, Robert and Susan Tarnecki of Long Valley, Raymond Tarnecki of Hamilton, Joseph and Karen Tarnecki of Shrewsbury and John and Helen Tarnecki of Plainsboro; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Laraine and William Leichty of Bordentown, Sally Tarnecki of Hamilton and Mary and Wayne Kulessa of Bordentown; a brother, Frank DiEugenio of Robbinsville; two sisters, Mary Franco of Trenton and Lucy Edwards of Hamilton; nine grandchildren, Terri, Joe, Mark, Monica, Stephanie, Melissa, Jonathan, Michele and Liane; and nieces and nephews.
   Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at Holy Angels Roman Catholic Church, 1733 S. Broad St., with the Rev. Sam Sirianni officiating.
   Burial was in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
   Arrangements were by Huber-Moore Funeral Home, 517 Farnsworth Ave., Bordentown.
Sylvia Constantini Klocke
   HAMILTON — Sylvia Constantini Klocke, 80, died Friday, May 10, at Chandler Hall, Newtown, Pa.
   Born in Trenton, she was a lifelong Trenton and Hamilton resident.
   Mrs. Klocke retired in 1985 after 33 years as a kitchen manager and cook with Grecco’s Restaurant in the Chambersburg section of Trenton. She was a member of the American Association of Retired Persons and enjoyed crossword puzzles.
   Daughter of the late Alex and Lena Mercantini Constantini and sister of the late Edward Constantini, she is survived by her husband, George Klocke; a daughter and son-in-law, Rosemarie and Raymond Micharski Sr. of Hamilton; four grandchildren, Raymond Micharski Jr. of Plumsted and Kevin, Debra and George Micharski, all of Hamilton; six great-grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, Anthony and Lillian Constantini of Hamilton; a sister-in-law, Fran Constantini; an aunt, Faye Giordano; and nieces and nephews.
   Funeral was from Winowicz Funeral Home, Adeline and Beatty streets, Trenton.
   Funeral liturgy was celebrated 10:30 a.m. at Church of the Holy Cross, with Monsignor Edward J. Arnister as principal celebrant.
   Entombment was in the Garden of Peace Mausoleum at Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery.

Walter R. Mastalesz
   HAMILTON — Walter R. Mastalesz, 82, died Friday, May 10, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton.
   Born in Trenton, he was a lifelong area resident. He lived in Hamilton 50 years.
   He was an Army Air Forces aviation mechanic during World War II. Mr. Mastalesz retired in 1986 after 16 years with Educational Testing Service, Lawrence.
   He had worked 23 years for the former Trenton Pottery Co. and served with the Civilian Conservation Corps. assigned to North Jersey and Washington. He was a former member of the Holy Angels Roman Catholic Church’s Holy Name Society.
   Son of the late Walter and Mary Horowski Mastalesz and brother of the late Helen Simancik and Mitchell, he is survived by his wife of 53 years, Regina Wieczkowski Mastalesz; two sons and daughters-in-law, Steven and Jean Mastalesz of Roebling and Kenneth and Cynthia Mastalesz of Hamilton; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Irene Mastalesz and Ann and Nick Durastanti of Trenton and Laura "Virginia" and Harry Dearden of Robbinsville; three grandchildren, Amber, Nicholas and Cassandra Mastalesz; a great-granddaughter, Tatiana; many nieces and nephews; and grandnieces and grandnephews.
   Funeral was from Winowicz Funeral Home, Adeline and Beatty streets, Trenton.
   Funeral liturgy was celebrated at Holy Angels Roman Catholic Church, 1733 S. Broad St.
   Burial was in St. Stanislaus Cemetery.

Norman Comfort
   HAMILTON — Norman Comfort, 62, died Saturday, May 11, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton.
   Born in Trenton, he was a lifelong area resident.
   He retired in 2001 after 32 years as a senior highway inspector for the state Department of Transportation.
   He was a member of the Coast Guard Reserve from 1957 to 1963. He was also a bartender for Lorenzo’s Cafe, Trenton; Olde York Inn, Hightstown; and Giovi’s Restaurant, Yardville. He was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Roman Catholic Church. He enjoyed bowling, golf and baseball.
   Son of the late Norman J. and Kathryn Giovacchini Comfort, he is survived by his wife, Janet Williams Comfort; a daughter and son-in-law, Lynne and Michael Pisano of Hamilton; a son and daughter-in-law, John and Lorraine Comfort of Robbinsville; three grandchildren, Kristin Pisano and Morgan and Victoria Comfort; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Don and Jan Comfort of Anderson, S.C., and Rick and Karen Comfort of Point Pleasant; two aunts, Marian Giovacchini of Morrisville, Pa., and Leona Schuster of Ewing; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
   Funeral will be 9:15 a.m. today from M. William Murphy Funeral Home, 1863 Hamilton Ave.
   Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Roman Catholic Church, 3816 E. State St. Extension.

Richard G. Slade
   CRANBURY — Richard G. Slade, 77, died Thursday, May 9, at St. Francis Medical Center, Trenton.
   Born in Gardner, Mass., he formerly lived in Andover, Mass. He moved to Cranbury 26 years ago.
   Mr. Slade was a warehouse and traffic manager with Tenneco Chemicals, Piscataway, for many years. He later worked with the Presbyterian Homes of New Jersey at Monroe Village and Meadow Lakes.
   He was a Navy veteran of World War II and a graduate of Boston University. Mr. Slade was a coach with Cranbury Little League and a member of the Traffic Club of New England and New Jersey.
   He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Florence Hansen Slade; two daughters and sons-in-law, Janet and Steve Lee, and their children, Eric, Michael and Kristine, of Hamilton, and Carolyn and Jeff Clark, and their children, Douglas and Julianne, of Robbinsville; and a son and daughter-in-law, John Andrew and Kellie Slade, and their son, Andrew Richard Slade, of Hamilton.

Ida Isabella Fine
   UPPER FREEHOLD — Ida Isabella Fine, 101, died Friday, May 10, at Cinnaminson Center and Genesis ElderCare.
   Born in Undercliff, she lived in Imlaystown most of her life.
   Wife of the late James A. Fine Sr. and mother of the late James A. Jr., Joseph A., Isabella Pretorius and Marguerite Szajna, she is survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
   Funeral was at Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St., Allentown, with the Rev. Merton Steelman officiating.
   Burial was in North Crosswicks Cemetery.
Clara Hall Boring
   WASHINGTON — Clara Hall Boring, 84, died Tuesday, May 7, at St. Joseph’s Skilled Nursing Unit at Morris Hall, Lawrenceville.
   Born in the Bronx, N.Y., she lived in Ewing many years before moving to Robbinsville in August 2000.
   She had volunteered for many years with Mercer Medical Center and Recording for the Blind. A music lover, Mrs. Boring organized and chaired many types of music competitions and was a benefactor to music organizations. She sang with several church choirs and community choral groups and volunteered with symphony orchestras in Cleveland, Princeton and Trenton.
   Daughter of the late George W. and Agnes McManus Hall and wife of the late Richard Boring, she is survived by two sisters-in-law, Janet Miller of Martinsburg, Pa., and Kay Hall of Exton, Pa.; and nieces and nephews.
   Funeral was from Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville.
   Mass of Christian burial was celebrated 8:30 a.m. at Church of St. Ann, 1253 Lawrence Road.

Nellie Mattaliano Lombardo
   TRENTON — Nellie Mattaliano Lombardo, 87, died Wednesday, May 8, at Genesis ElderCare Mercerville Center, Hamilton.
   Born in Pierce, W.Va., she lived in the Villa Park section of Trenton most of her life.
   Mrs. Lombardo was a homemaker and had retired as a sales associate with Hamilton Fashions, Trenton. She was a member of St. Joachim and Immaculate Conception churches, the Gertrude Simpson Senior Citizens Center and the Casteltermini Society.
   Daughter of the late Ignatius and Nellie Labue Mattaliano, sister of the late Mathew, Paul and Peter Lombardo, Jessie Magazzu and Julie Cordaro, wife of the late Joseph Lombardo and mother-in-law of the late Vincent LaBella, she is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Louis and Julia Lombardo of Hamilton; a daughter, Marie LaBella of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; a sister, Helen Richmond of Robbinsville; two sisters-in-law, Mennie Ida Mattaliano and Rita Mattaliano; four grandchildren, Joseph Lombardo and wife Patricia, Marie Manukas and husband Alex and Vincent and David LaBella; five great-grandchildren, Jennifer, Alex, Louis, Krista and Kelly; and nieces and nephews.

John F. Gillespie Jr.
   HAMILTON — John F. Gillespie Jr., 60, died Wednesday, May 8, at St. Francis Medical Center, Trenton.
   Born in Camden, he was a lifelong area resident.
   Mr. Gillespie retired from the state Department of Transportation as an assistant foreman. He was a member of the Park Rod & Gun Club of Hamilton and had been active with Hamilton Elks Lodge 2262.
   Son of the late John F. Gillespie Sr., he is survived by his mother, Evelyn Cossia Gillespie of Hamilton; a daughter, Jaclyn Gillespie of Robbinsville; three aunts, Joyce Wolley of Whiting, Mitzi Gill of Forked River and Florence Smith of Hammonton; and many cousins.
   Funeral was at Kingston & Kemp Funeral Home, 260 White Horse Ave., with the Rev. Roderick Mills, pastor of Pearson Memorial United Methodist Church, officiating.
   Burial was in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Louis Francis Esposito
   HAMILTON — Louis Francis Esposito died Monday, May 6, at home.
   Born in Lambertville, he was a longtime Hamilton resident.
   He was associated with the dairy industry for most of his life and retired in 1982 as branch manager for Shearer’s Ice Cream in Bordentown. He was a former member of Elks Lodge 2262 and a former treasurer of the Lions Club of Hamilton.
   Son of the late Pellegrino and Maria Conti Esposito and brother of the late Neal and Joseph Esposito, he is survived by his wife of 68 years, Agnes V. Esposito; a son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Rosalie Esposito of Hamilton; a daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Robert Cox of Allentown; a brother, Nicholas of Lambertville; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
   Funeral was from Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square.
   Funeral Mass was celebrated at St. John’s Roman Catholic Church, 44 Bridge St., Lambertville.

Elizabeth Ann Pascucci
   TRENTON — Elizabeth Ann White Pascucci, 83, died Sunday, May 5, at Buckingham (Pa.) Valley Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.
   Born in Boomer, W.Va., she lived in Trenton since 1946.
   She was a homemaker and a member of Immaculate Conception Church.
   Daughter of the late Joseph and Mary LoBascio White, wife of the late Reno R. Pascucci and sister of the late John and Anna White and Theresa Winter, she is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Joseph E. and Amy Pascucci of Jamison, Pa.; a daughter and son-in-law, Maryann E. and John Karpowicz of Cream Ridge; two grandchildren, Paul and Gabriel; six brothers and four sisters-in-law, Michael and Ruth White, Amelio and Reba White, Lawrence and Betty White, Anthony White, William and Dasha White and Fred White; four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Veola Grounds, Victoria and Alfred Lynch, Angelina and Danny Mullins and Sister Nancy White; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Irene and John Santarsiero; and nieces and nephews.

Lena L. Tammaro
   HAMILTON — Lena L. Tammaro, 87, died Saturday, May 4, at Arcadia Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
   Born in Tuckahoe, she lived in Vineland before moving to Hamilton.
   She retired as a seamstress for clothing companies in Vineland and Tuckahoe and was a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union. She was a homemaker and an avid pinochle player.
   Wife of the late Vincent "Timmy" Tammaro and sister of the late Peter and John "Chick" Orfanella, Ida Detro, Anna Trofa, Rose Stanley and Lucy Higbee, she is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Jacqueline and Frank VanDeWeghe Jr. of East Windsor; three grandchildren, Lori and husband Julian J. Drawdy Jr. of Hammonton, Debbie and husband Adam Neuman of New Egypt and Patricia VanDeWeghe of New Egypt; a great-grandson, Julian J. Drawdy III; a special nephew, Joseph Higbee; and nieces and other nephews.
   Graveside service was at Union Cemetery, Mays Landing.

   WRIGHTSTOWN — Paul V. Kelly Jr., 83, died Monday, May 13, at home.
   Born in Philadelphia, he lived in Wrightstown since 1963.
   He retired from the Air Force, having worked at the civil service electronics shop at Fort Dix.
   He was an Air Force veteran of World War II. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6590 in Cookstown, New Egypt Elks Lodge 2457, McGuire Alert Team, the National Association of Retired Federal Employees, American Legion Post 455, New Egypt; Chapter 360 of the Air Force Association, Air Force Sergeant Association, Civil Air Patrol, Wrightstown Rotary Club, the Thomas B. McGuire Foundation, United Way, Red Cross, Mary Mother of God Chapel at McGuire Air Force Base and the Knights of Columbus and the Holy Name Society at St. Ann’s Roman Catholic Church in Browns Mills.
   Husband of the late Ellen Kelly, he is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Mary and Mike Dungan of Wrightstown and Diane and Thomas Jeanette of Pemberton; three sons and a daughter-in-law, Paul V. Kelly III and Linda Perrtta of Massachusetts, Michael of Wrightstown and James of Pemberton; and nieces and nephews.
   Mass of Christian burial will be 9 a.m. Friday at the Mary Mother of God Chapel, McGuire Air Force Base, with the Rev. Joseph Farrell officiating.
   Burial will be in Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown.

   NEW HANOVER — Margaret Hoffner Pavlica, 61, died Saturday, May 11, at home.
   Born in New Egypt, she was a lifelong area resident.
   She was a homemaker.
   Wife of the late Edward Pavlica and John Hoffner, daughter of the late Susie Brown and sister of the late Esther Weber and William Whip Leming, she is survived by her stepfather, Lester Brown Sr. of New Egypt; two sisters, Mable Havens of Columbus and Sue Stillwell of Wrightstown; two brothers, Lester Brown Jr. and Russell Brown, both of New Egypt; a special friend, Terry Pflieger of Hamilton; and nieces and nephews.
   Funeral was at Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main St., New Egypt, with the Rev. Mark Brookhardt officiating.
   Burial was in Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown.
