Kristin Pataki

   SILVER SPRING, MD. — Officer Kristin Marie Pataki died Saturday, May 4, in a traffic accident in Silver Spring, Maryland in the performance of her police duties. She was 24.
   Born in Somerville, she lived in Hillsborough most of her life, before moving to Germantown, Md., in 1999.
   Ms. Pataki, a 1996 graduate of Hillsborough High School, attended Raritan Valley Community College and graduated in 2001 from the Montgomery County Maryland Police Academy. She then joined the Maryland National Capital Park Police.
   She was a former member of the Hillsborough Rescue Squad and the 4-H Club.
   Surviving are her parents, Gregory and Janice Pataki of Hillsborough; one sister, Meredith Pataki of Hamilton; her grandfather, Joseph Budd of Hillsborough; and her fiance, Joseph Kepp of Germantown, Md.
   Private funeral services were held May 9 from Hillsborough Funeral Home, Hillsborough.
