LAKEWOOD — Police believe two armed robberies that took place last week are the work of two men and a female accomplice.

In each of the robberies, the victims claimed that their attackers were either driven or picked up by a woman who goes by the name of Laurie.

According to Lakewood Police Lt. Robert Lawson, Daniel LeBlue, 21, of Jackson, and Juan Torress, 19, of Lakewood, were robbed at gun point as they sat in the parking lot of the Kim-all Deli, River Avenue, on May 6.

According to police, LeBlue and Torress were in LeBlue’s car at 11:25 p.m. when they were approached by the assailants. LeBlue told police two men were dropped off by a woman named Laurie. The men approached LeBlue’s vehicle and asked if they could wait inside because of the cold weather.

When LeBlue agreed, the men entered the vehicle, one of them put a gun to LeBlue’s head and said "If you move, I’ll kill you," according to Lawson.

The second man went into the trunk of the car and took a blue backpack containing a Sony PlayStation, two pagers, two 14-karat gold rings and several DVDs and video games.

According to Lawson, the suspects fled on foot heading east on Spruce Street. LeBlue and Torress told police they thought Laurie was waiting for the two men.

In a second incident, which police are calling related, Roberto Ramos, 24, of Lakewood, was also robbed at gunpoint. The incident occurred on May 7 at about 3:15 a.m. Ramos was in his Ford Explorer at 340 Woodlake Manor Drive when he was approached by a black man who said, "Give me everything you got," according to Lawson.

The man took $500 cash from Ramos, a cellular telephone and his car keys. Ramos told police the assailant ran south toward New Hampshire Avenue and was last seen getting into a white Maxima.

The first suspect is described as black, 6 feet tall, 220 pounds, wearing a blue-jean jacket and blue-jean pants. His ear was pierced and he was wearing a black skull cap. According to police, he was the suspect carrying the revolver.

The second suspect is described as black, 5 feet tall, wearing a white shirt and a black bandanna, with a stud earring.
