Cholesterol screening, workshop at library
Matawan Aberdeen Public Library, 165 Main St., Matawan, will offer a cholesterol screening June 5 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
Registration is preferred for the free screening to be given by Eileen Frankel, a nurse form Bayshore Health Alliance.
A free workshop on college financial planning will be June 6 at 7 p.m. at the library. Registration is required for the program to be given by Chuck Drawbaugh, president of College Funding Associates, Middletown.

Vessel safety checks
in Keyport June 1, 15
U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, Flotilla No. 24, Keyport, will hold a free vessel safety check June 1 and 15 from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. at both the Keyport marine basin and boat ramp.
Checks may be done in or out of the water, and boaters may bring boats by trailer or via water to the sites. All boats including personal water craft such as wave runners will be checked. Vessels passing the check will receive a decal.

Auditions for ‘Charlie Brown’ June 8-9
The Spotlight Players will hold auditions for You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown June 8-9 at 3 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Matawan, Route 34 and Franklin Street.
All roles will be double-cast with pre-teen and teen-age participants. Attendees should bring sheet music; an accompanist will be provided. Performances will be the weekends of Aug. 17 and 24.
