CHESTERFIELD Robert C. Bird, 81, died May 23 at home.
Born in Wrightstown, he lived in the Chesterfield area most of his life.
Mr. Bird worked 35 years with Yardville Supply, where he operated a cement mixer.
He was a member of Teamsters Union Local 469 and the Chesterfield Township Keenagers, and former member of the Chesterfield Fire Co.
Brother of the late Leonard, Lester and Herman Bird, he is survived by his wife, Alma Clark Bird; a daughter, Barbara E. Pitman of Bordentown Township; a sister, Willa Bird Kuhl of Mount Laurel; three grandchildren, Robert Pitman of Hamilton, Julie Fletcher and husband, Michael, of Bordentown Township and Judy Pitman of Bordentown Township; and three great-grandchildren, Christopher, Kelsey and Jaelyn.
The funeral was held at Peppler Funeral Home, Bordentown.
Burial was in North Crosswicks Cemetery.
Leroy Hunter
FLORENCE Leroy Hunter, 79, died May 20 at Rancocas Hospital, Willingboro.
Born in Trenton, he attended Bordentown public schools and was a longtime area resident.
He had been a steel worker in Fieldsboro.
Mr. Hunter was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church, Bordentown, and former president of its usher board.
He was a senior usher for the Republican Club of Bordentown.
Husband of the late Rose Lee Hunter, father of the late Helen Hunter and son of the late John and Florence Rainer Hunter, he is survived by a brother, Robert Hunter of Florence; a sister, Helen Gay of the Bronx, N.Y.; four grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
The funeral was held at Shiloh Baptist Church, Bordentown, with the Rev. George L. Coleman Jr., pastor, officiating.
Burial was in Bordentown Cemetery.
Arrangements were by Anderson Funeral Service, Trenton.
Rudolph A. Chunko
BORDENTOWN TOWNSHIP Rudolph A. Chunko, 74, died May 24 at Mount Sinai Hospital, New York.
Born in Ashland, W.Va., he lived in Trenton and Bordentown for 70 years.
A graduate of Penn State University, he retired after many years with Westinghouse Corp., Trenton.
He was an Army veteran of the Korean War.
Son of the late Frank and Elizabeth Takacs Chunko, he is survived by two sisters, Caroline Nemeth and Kathleen Saunders, both of Bordentown Township; and nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Bordentown.
Entombment was in St. Mary’s Mausoleum, Hamilton.

Craft Dawson
MOUNT HOLLY Edith Rebecca Craft Dawson, 88, of Mount Holly died May 27 at her home.
Born in Columbus she had resided all of her life in Burlington County.
She was a veteran of World War II serving with the U. S. Navy and retired from the Judge Advocates Office at Ft. Dix.
She was a member of Waves National and the AARP.
She was a member of the Hainesport Community Baptist Church and was also active in the Columbus and Mount Holly Baptist Churches.
She was an avid Phillies baseball fan and was a rose gardener.
The daughter of the late William and Zilpah Craft and sister of he late Robert, Anna and Alfreda Craft, she is survived by a sister-in-law, Elsie Craft of Columbus and six nieces and nephews, William, Jr., David, Richard and Paul Craft and Rose Mar DeLaCruz, and Michelle Ferrell and several great nieces and great nephews.
The funeral will be held May 30 at 1 p.m. from the Huber-Moore Funeral Home, 517 Farnsworth Avenue, Bordentown with the Rev. Stephen B. Putney officiating.
Burial will follow in the Columbus cemetery.
Calling hours will be May 30 from 11 a.m. until the time of service.
