The Monmouth County Planning Board and Verizon will again sponsor a summer telephone book drive to collect old phone books for recycling. New phone books will be delivered in late May-July in Monmouth County.
Residents may bring their old phone books to the Middletown Township Recycling Center, Kanes Lane, June 1 to Aug. 31. Recycling Center hours are Monday-Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Anyone in the county who is interested in the program should call their municipality to see if there is a local program in place.

St. Catherine’s annual fair slated for June 4-8
Saint Catherine’s Roman Catholic Church, Bray and Shore Acre avenues, North Middletown, will hold its annual fair June 4-8. Fair hours are Tuesday-Friday from 6-10 p.m., and Saturday from 6-11 p.m.
Advance ride tickets are on sale and cost $10 for 20, which includes entry into a bicycle raffle. Children’s "bracelet nights" will be June 4 and 8, with bracelets available for $15.

Organ society to hold performance June 10
The Monmouth Organ Society will present a performance by Don Hansen June 10 at 8 p.m. Hansen will play the Society’s Hammond "Colonnade" at Jacques Reception Center, Palmer Avenue, North Middletown.

Library’s Australia
program to conclude
The Middletown Public Library, 55 New Monmouth Road, will conclude its travel series of Australia and New Zealand June 13 at 7:30 p.m. with a program by guest speaker Peter J. Koelsch.
The library has announced it will now be open Saturdays during the summer, July 6-Aug. 24, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The library and all branches will be closed Aug. 31 as part of the Labor Day weekend.
