School board OKs appointments

   At the recommendation of Hopewell Valley schools Superintendent Robert Sopko, the Hopewell Valley Regional Board of Education voted unanimously May 20 in favor of a series of personnel actions, including:
    Appointment of Patricia Coats, staff and program development specialist, as grades nine-12 English supervisor at Central High School, at an annual salary of $83,080, effective July 1.
    Appointment of Regina Brunetti as a Spectrum teacher at Stony Brook Elementary School at an annual salary of $49,806. Ms. Brunetti has degrees from the College of New Jersey, Rider University and Leslie University and has experience teaching with the Renzulli model the Hopewell Valley district uses in its Spectrum program.
    Appointment of Jennifer Johnston as an elementary teacher at Stony Brook School, at an annual salary of $45,394. Ms. Johnston is a graduate of the College of New Jersey and is working on a master’s degree in science education at Fairleigh Dickinson. She has experience at the primary level.
    Appointment of Elizabeth Lynn Angelus as a part-time reading recovery and part-time basic skills teacher at Stony Brook Elementary, at an annual salary of $49,806. Ms. Angelus has degrees from Drew University and Fordham. She has extensive experience at the primary level.
    Appointment of Janet Lynn Barclay as a special education instructor at Stony Brook at an annual salary of $39,842. She has a degree in special education from East Stroudsburg University.
    Appointment of Linda P. Hagerty as a learning disabilities teacher consultant at an annual salary of $51,475. She has a degree in special education from Avila College in Kansas City, Mo., a master’s degree in special education from the University of Missouri and a LDTC certification from the College of New Jersey. She has extensive experience teaching special education.
