in Consumer Bowl

Monsignor Donovan High School, Toms River, recently hosted the Ocean County competition of the New Jersey High School Consumer Bowl, sponsored by the N.J. Division of Consumer Affairs. Seven high schools competed in the electronic buzzer tournament that asked questions in areas ranging from telemarketing fraud to home improvements. The Monsignor Donovan team took second place to winner Southern Regional. The team included Maanasa Gowda and Marcin Sliwowski, both of Lakewood; and alternate Dan Kochis of Jackson.

Panic Relief to offer

local recovery program

Panic Relief, a nonprofit educational organization serving people with panic disorders, is offering a weekly panic attack recovery program in the area. Attendees will learn to manage their panic and anxiety and get themselves back on track. Topics will include self-esteem, communication and nutrition.
