Ruth E. Milne

   HIGHTSTOWN — Ruth E. Milne, 89, died Saturday at Meadow Lakes Health Care Center.
   Born in Tamaqua, Pa., she lived in Little Falls and New Hampshire 34 years before returning to New Jersey three years ago.
   Mrs. Milne worked on the editorial staff of N.H. Natural Resources magazine. She sang with the Oratorio Society of New Jersey and performed as a soloist at many churches.
   Predeceased by her husband of 54 years, James G.W. Milne, and grandmother of the late Eric D. Whitney, she is survived by two daughters, Carol R. Milne of Chipita Park, Colo., and Barbara Y. Whitney of East Windsor; a son, J. Scott Milne of San Diego; three grandchildren, Mark A. Whitney of East Windsor and Paul M. Whitney and wife Juana of West Windsor and David K. Whitney and wife Elizabeth of Whitehouse Station; and a great-grandson, Matthew E. Whitney.
   Graveside service will be in Andover, N.H.
   There will be no calling hours.
   Arrangements are by A.S. Cole Funeral Home, Cranbury.
