Dominick D’Alesio

Dominick D’Alesio, 78, of Pennington died Saturday at home.
Born in Canosa Sannita, Abbruzzi, Italy, he was an area resident since 1949.
He served in the Italian army during World War II and after its surrender. He helped allied prisoners of war, working as a federal agent for three years after the war.
Mr. D’Alesio retired from Kuhn & Jacobs Molding and Tool Co. in Trenton and was treasurer of U.R.W. Local 205 many years. He and his wife were also involved in a drapery business in Hopewell.
Husband of the late Yolanda DiCocco D’Alesio, he is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Maria and David Neale of Caledonia, N.Y., Diana and Nathan Gable of Sewell and Linda and David Kyler of Clinton, Ohio; four grandchildren, Harold, Mirella, Elena and Arissa; a brother and sister-in-law, Carlo and Delfina D’Alesio of Hopewell; and a nephew, Rocco.
Funeral liturgy will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. James Roman Catholic Church, 115 East Delaware Ave., Pennington.
Entombment will be in St. Mary’s Mausoleum, Hamilton.
Calling hours will be 9 a.m. until the service Friday in the gathering area of St. James Church.
