Resident anxiously awaits arrival of town square

I was in attendance at the Zoning Board hearing in which the town center proposal was heard. I was impressed to learn about the many amenities that will be provided for the community, such as walking trails, an ice skating rink and a central town green.

A land development consultant testified before the Zoning Board that the site is the ideal location for the town center. He said that the developers were approached to put in a strip center with big box retail, but they turned down the offer because they wanted something different.

In my opinion, this plan is what Middletown needs, and is much better than what we could get if the developer isn’t able to build the town square.

I look forward to attending the next Zoning Board hearing, scheduled for June 24 at 7 p.m. to learn more about the project. I can’t wait for the arrival of town square, and the more I learn the more I know that town square is right for Middletown.
