Police chief’s claim that department is strong rebutted

I almost choked on my coffee and doughnut when I read that the Middletown Township chief of police said "we’re strong on safety" when talking about his police department. So that’s why it took only 15 months (one and a quarter years) of calling the traffic bureau for them to address the illegality of telephone utility trucks using my residential street as a private driveway to their Middletown office? Should I get into just how dangerous these trucks can be, or do we all understand the consequences of what would happen if one should accidentally get in the way of a 4 ton telephone utility truck?

The police department’s reaction to this situation was obviously not strong. As a matter of fact, there was no reaction at all for well over a year. Certainly now, how you would expect your police department to respond to those who so brazenly, blatantly and intentionally disregard the law, while at the same time knowingly create a safety hazard?

What I found to be impotent and weak they apparently consider strong. The township’s police department should save the "we care" rhetoric for those with less experience in community matters.
