District 12 Softball

The Lawrence Little League softball team posted two impressive victories this past week.
The girls routed Millstone-Roosevelt, 25-2, on Sunday. Judy Baranowski earned the win, striking out four and allowing four hits in the game.
Elizabeth Batchelor led the way at the plate, with five hits and five RBIs.
Heidi Sabatura, Allie Price and Melissa Casale all had four RBIs.
Then in a closer game on Monday, the Lawrence girls were once again successful. This time, Lawrence rallied to defeat Cranbury-Plainsboro, 12-5.
Despite trailing, 5-4, heading into the bottom of the fifth, Lawrence scored eight runs in its half of the frame.
Batchelor again was strong offensively, knocking in two runs, while Sabatura picked up the win on the mound.
The victory clinched a spot for Lawrence in the double-elimination round.
