Therese Reilly, 76, of Lawrence died Tuesday, July 2, at St. Joseph’s Care Center.
Born in Newark, she had lived in the Newark and Toms River areas. She moved to Lawrence five years ago.
She was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church in Newark and St. Justin’s Rosary and Alter Society in Toms River.
She received a bachelor of science degree from Douglas College and a masters degree from Rutgers University in library science.
She worked as a school librarian in Newark.
Daughter of the late Peter and Louise Jordan Cummins; wife of the late James V. Reilly; she is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Louise R. and Scott Saletta of Lawrence; a brother and sister-in-law, Joseph and Jean Cummins; a grandson, Patrick J. Saletta, of Lawrence; six nieces and seven nephews.
There will be a Mass of Christian Burial 10 a.m. Saturday, July 6, at Our Lady of the Rosary Chapel at Morris Hall on Lawrenceville Road.
Burial will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, East Orange.
Calling hours will be 7-9 p.m. Friday, July 5, at the Wilson-Apple Funeral Home, 2560 Pennington Road, Pennington, and 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass Saturday at the chapel.
