Millstone Township Community Education has openings in its summer half-day camps for ages 7-12 in the theater camp, creative writing camp, cooking classes, modeling camp, "Mad Science" camp, "Rocket and Space" camp, and "Brains, Blood and Bones" camp. Millstone Charity Gala Sept. 28 at Frogbridge
The second annual Millstone Charity Gala is scheduled for Sept. 28 at the lakeside verandah and dining room at Frogbridge, Millstone.
Proceeds from the event will benefit local organizations within the township. This year the recipients will be the Millstone Township Community Alliance to Prevent Alcoholism and Drug Abuse, the Millstone Township Hospital Auxiliary, and the Middle After School Teens group (MAST).
Tickets are available for the first 300 guests at $125 per person. Entertainment at the event will be provided by the eight-piece orchestra Band Of Gold. Call (732) 446-3206.
Roosevelt congregation offers Hebrew schools
Congregation Anshei Roosevelt is accepting applications for its Hebrew school program for 2002-2003. Classes are small and designed to be enjoyable. For more information, call Shalom at (609) 490-0751.
In addition, the congregation will offer a Hebrew school program for children ages 4-6. "Sunday-Funday" is an educational Hebrew program to introduce Hebrew and Judaism. Through arts and crafts, singing and music, children will receive an introduction to his or her heritage. The program will be held from 10:00 a.m. to noon on the first Sunday of every month from October through June. The cost is $100 per child for synagogue members and $180 for non-members.
