Local merchants asked to honor senior ID cards

Monmouth County Sheriff Joseph W. Oxley is asking help from local merchants to continue honoring the Monmouth County Sheriff’s Office Ident-Adult senior emergency photo identification card program as a valid form of secondary identification.

Ident-Adult cards are provided free to all legal Monmouth County residents age 50 or older. Seniors participating in the program receive photo identification wallet cards containing emergency information, including medical conditions, allergic reactions, doctors’ information, and phone numbers. During an emergency, the photo identification cards provide critical information that can help save a life. All card holders provide proof of identity, including a valid birth certificate or passport, to be eligible.
