kids’ support group
Monmouth Medical Center, 300 Second Ave., Long Branch, will present Kids Need Support, Too Aug. 1 from 7-8 p.m. The free meeting is for children and adolescents who have family members diagnosed with cancer or other serious illnesses. Registration is required. To register, call (732) 923-6990.
Tours for patients having procedures at the Cranmer ambulatory surgery center will be Aug. 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29 from 3:30-4:30 p.m. Tours are designed to give children a hands-on experience with medical equipment, and visitation to areas encountered on the day of surgery. Registration is required and may be done by calling (732) 222-5200, ext. 31208.
A Mother-to-Mother support group will meet Aug. 6, 13, 20 and 27 from 10-11:30 a.m. Tours of the Eisenberg family center will be Aug. 11 and 25 at 1:30 p.m. Registration is required. To register, call (732) 923-6990.
The regional newborn center family support group will meet Aug. 14 and 28 from 7-8 p.m. The group is for parents with babies in Monmouth’s neonatal intensive care unit. For information, call (732) 923-7340.
