• Food distribution will take place Aug. 22 at the old Jackson library, Don Connor Boulevard, between 5-7 p.m. Sponsored by the Jackson Women of Today, this service is open to all Jackson residents. Proof of residency is required.
• Christmas in August Tricky-Tray event is being sponsored by the Jackson Chapter of Deborah Aug. 23 at the VFW Post 4703, Magnolia Drive, Jackson. Donation is $3. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Refreshments will be available. No one under 18 will be admitted.
