Howell art students capture 28 awards

Sixteen students in Bruce Fallender’s art classes at the Adelphia Art Center, Howell, won 28 awards at the Mon-mouth County Fair art show recently.

Children’s division winners were: Mitchell Smith, second in pen and ink-black and white and second in charcoal; Elaina Vasile, third in mixed media, both of Farmingdale; Jessica Freeman, second in pastel, honorable mention in both watercolor and mixed media, Megan Jander, third in pen and ink-black and white, Megan Kaltenbach, second in pen and ink-color and third in marker, Allyson Lehman, honorable mention in mixed media, Sara Lehman, first in pastel and honorable mention in watercolor, Larisa Lemesevski, first in pen and ink and third in charcoal, Michael Raia, third in acrylic, third in charcoal, third in collage and honorable mention in pen and ink-black and white, Samantha Raia, first in charcoal, second in collage and second in mixed media, and Samantha Sharma, first in pen and ink-black and white, all of Freehold; Kira Downing, honorable mention in mixed media, Kyle Shankle, first in pen and ink-color and honorable mention in pencil, both of Jackson; and Allie Boehm of Monroe Township won first in pastel.

Winners in the adult division were Jane Zdancewic of Freehold, first in acrylic, and Dianne Sullivan of Neptune City, third in mixed media and honorable mention in pen and ink-color.
