Christopher Reeve to give lecture

Friends’ Health Connection and The Robert Wood Johnson Health Network will present "Nothing Is Impossible – Reflections on a New Life," a lecture by the renowned actor-turned-activist Christopher Reeve, on Monday, Oct. 7, at 7 p.m. at the Hilton Hotel, East Brunswick.
According to FHC, "Mr. Reeve will deliver the powerful message that life is not to be taken for granted but to be lived fully with zeal, curiosity and gratitude. He will challenge the audience not to accept limitations — but to harness the untapped resources within us that are waiting to be discovered."
In 1999 Mr. Reeve became chairman of the Christopher Reeve Paralysis Foundation, supporting research to develop effective treatments and a cure for paralysis caused by spinal cord injury and other central nervous system disorders. He also serves as vice chairman of the National Organization on Disability, which focuses on quality-of-life issues for the disabled, and on the board of directors for T.E.A.M. Sports, a group that organizes sporting events for athletes with disabilities.
Friends’ Health Connection is a nonprofit organization that provides customized information and support to enrich lives of individuals with health problems, their families and caregivers. The organization is affiliated with 43 hospitals and healthcare facilities throughout New York and New Jersey.
Tickets are $25 in advance ($30 at the door) from Friends’ Health Connection at (800) 483-7436.
